"I wanted to bring to your attention some incidents of which I have recently become aware. None of the incidents have occurred in the Northeastern District, but residents should be on the lookout for the following:
Suspects are knocking on residence doors offering free COVID facemasks. If the occupant opens the door they are attacked. Please be vigilant, utilize doorbell cameras to screen visitors if possible, and only open the door if you are sure there is not a threat. If you see suspicious activity please call 911 immediately. Again, there have been no incidents reported in the NED. As more information becomes available, I will be sure to update."
Sincerely,
Major Steve Hohman
Commanding Officer, Northeastern District
Baltimore Police Department
