Recycling Update (District 14) - 1/12/22

Updated: Jan 14, 2022

Jan 12 Dear Neighbors: Mayor Scott and the Department of Public Works have just released their plan to address the lack of staffing for recycling routes. This email is to give you details about that plan and what to do with your recycling this week. The New Plan for now: ONLY RECYCLING will be collected on a by-weekly basis starting next week (not trash). Since our entire district is north of North Avenue, we are A week, which starts the week of January 18th (next week). The graphic below and here is the link for more details. So, please put your recycling out on your regular day next week. So what do we do with recycling this week? The ONLY recycling that will be picked up today (Wednesday), tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday are those areas that have not been picked up in the past two weeks. I apologize to Better Waverly, CHM, Mayfield, Darley Park, and parts of Ednor Gardens-Lakeside, we will not have recycling today (Wednesday). Sorry for the last moment notice. Hillen and part of Ednor Gardens/Lakeside has Friday pick up usually, but you will not have pick up this week since yours was picked up last week. The following neighborhoods WILL have recycling pick up tomorrow, (Thursday) because they have not had recycling in two weeks: Roland Park Keswick/Alonsoville Rolden Abell Charles Village Hampden - very specific blocks that were not picked up the past two weeks. Remington - the missed blocks If for some reason your recycling is not collected, please call 311 and send me the confirmation number. The following neighborhoods will NOT have recycling pick up tomorrow (Thursday): Hoe's Heights Hampden (blocks picked up sometime in the last two weeks) Wyman Park Tuscany Canterbury Guilford Oakenshawe Waverly Original Northwood Ednor Gardens Please keep in touch with me as to what is happening in your areas related to recycling.
